What started out as another bucket list checkoff, and what I thought would be a once in a lifetime opportunity to fish for wild Alaskan steelhead, quickly turned into an obsession.

Yep. I said it. Obsession.

With the passionate crew at the Alaska Steelhead Company solely to blame, that obsession has brought me back to Alaska each fall since. For well over a decade now, I’ve had the good fortune to experience an amazing fishery, and the bigger than life people, landscape and wildlife that makes Alaska, Alaska.

I was so blown away after my first season fishing with ASC (actually hit me after the first day), that the following fall I booked a multiple-week trip. It was just so damn good! And I mean everything. The water we fished, the accommodations, the food, the guides, the support staff — everyone and everything truly could not have been patched together any better. I knew from that first trip, that I would never miss out on this amazing experience again. ‘Till I die’ sort of thing. The fishing, adventure and shared experiences on a trip like this, have kept me coming back season after season and ASC has made it too good to ever miss.

Let’s be real. Alaska is an easy sell to anyone that has even the slightest spark of adventure in their bones! Mother nature provides a heck of a lot of the spark to Alaska, but what the ASC crew does with it, truly brings the Alaska experience to a whole other level.
