Kenai Peninsula river, a glassy run through timber

Spey School

The Program

Two-handed casting, taught right.

Instructor-led Spey casting and steelhead fly fishing techniques, taught on the water. One intensive session in the heart of chrome season this October: small classes, deep pedigree, real rivers.

Led by Simon Gawesworth of RIO, one of the world's foremost authorities on Spey casting alongside veteran steelhead angler and guide Justin Miller of The Fly Shop in Redding, CA. The low student-to-teacher ratio (2:1) and plenty of engaging, on-the-water practice (and fishing) let every angler build real skill in a short time.

Each session runs 4 nights, 3 full days. Everything is all-inclusive once you reach our lodge on the Kenai Peninsula: lodging, meals, instruction, guided fishing, and gear.
